OUR FOUNDER

Anush Hovhannisyan, founder of the Armenian Opera Workshop, is an internationally acclaimed soprano and graduate of the Yerevan State Conservatory and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. She trained at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, as a member of the prestigious Jette Parker Artists Programme, and has since built a distinguished international career performing on major opera and concert stages worldwide. Alongside her performing career, Anush has established herself as a respected artistic consultant, having served as the founding Casting Director of the New Generation Festival and Artistic Adviser to the Mascarade Opera Studio in Florence. A dedicated mentor and Ambassador of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, she has been at the creative roots of numerous artistic initiatives and continues to inspire and guide the next generation of opera talent.
